Shirvan Kilim

Antique Shirvan kilims are arguably the most famous and popular Caucasian flat weaves. Quite a big variety of pieces can be found, although few of these being in good condition.

This attractive red ground Shirvan kilim was made at the dawn of the 20^th century.

The fact that it has a design that resembles more a Soumak rather than a typical kilim from this area, makes it unusual. It is decorative and in good condition.
