Cicim

This special type of flat weave is mainly found in Turkey. It is a more complicated and rigid than the slit-tapestry weave of a kilim and it usually has a limited number of colors. The vast majority of these textile products were made for personal use, hence the limited number of pieces in existence. This particular cicim has a simple repetitive geometric design and is almost colorless, which means that it can very comfortably be adopted by any style of decoration.
